It's a piece of history, it's comfortable, and its' BIG. Venice has a Hilton Hotel now, and it's located in the Giudecca island in place of the old flour mill. You cannot call it a typical Venetian style accommodation: it's a typical Hilton hotel style, very similar to the ones which you can find in any big city of the world), but if you are accustomed to it, and do not want to take any risk at all, go for it.

Some of the rooms offer a really breathtaking view over Venice and the lagoon, most have been built "from scratch" in the mills: most walls and corridors which you'll see inside did not exist until a few years ago. The rooms and suites are obviously comfortable, plenty of facilities, bars and restaurants. The meeting facilities are really interesting (the conference hall hosts up to 1000 people), as nothing like that existed in the historical center of Venice.
